Driver conversion training
is the process of converting existing drivers from current
in-service vehicles and equipments to new vehicles and equipment.
The training is invariably required as a direct result of
a customer procuring or leasing a new vehicle and/or equipment
fleet.
The Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974
imposes a general duty on every employer to ensure the Health,
Safety and Welfare of his employees while at work, and the
Health, Safety and Welfare of other employers’ employees,
and sub-contractors in connection with the work activities.
There is also a duty to provide and maintain a safe place
of work, safe plant and safe systems of work and provide all
necessary information, instruction, training
and supervision.
